Chocolate Sea Salt Baked Oats
As you know, my obsession with baked oats only continues. I saw this recipe for chocolate baked oats and I was immediately sold. I used the recipe that I will link below. I decided to multiply the recipe by 4 and bake it in an 8x8’’ baking dish. I liked this recipe, but I didn’t love it. There were two things that I felt needed improvement. I thought the baked oats were dry and that they were bitter. I think this recipe would have benefited from adding some maple syrup into the bake. I think the syrup would have helped add a nice sweetness and made the bake more moist.
I topped mine with pieces from a Hersey’s bar. I also added some Maldon sea salt. The chocolate on top was necessary to counter the bitterness from the bake. The salt was a great and welcome addition. I would like to try to make this again, but I would like to make it a bit sweeter!
