Pepperoni Pull Apart Pizza Bread

Pizza is always good to have! Have you ever tried a pull apart pizza bread? I was watching Nadiya’s show on Netflix and saw her make this. I was so excited when the opportunity came up to have pizza bread!

Nadiya’s recipe is so delicious! Make sure to plan enough time for the bread to rise properly twice. The dough is a simple mixture of self-raising flour, oregano, sugar, salt, yeast, and warm water. I put this all in my mixer and let it knead together for about 5-6 minutes. I let it proof once before rolling it out into a rectangle. After it was rolled out, I cut it into 8 even squares. I brushed the squares with pizza sauce, laid down a slide of mozzarella cheese, added two pieces of pepperoni, and one fresh basil leaf. I layered this into a loaf pan and let it rise again. I baked it until golden brown and served! This is a very delicious bread!

I loved this recipe, but my only suggestion would be to serve this bread with sauce on the side. I used a pizza sauce in the layers, but it was just not enough. Adding more would have given the bread the wrong texture, so I think serving it on the side would be perfect. I also topped my bread with extra mozzarella cheese in the last five minutes. I did add some fresh basil to the top when it came out of the oven!
