Canned Apples
Let me tell you--these canned apples turned out amazing! They are just the best over ice cream! After I went apple picking, I had so many apples that I did not know what to do with them. I scrolled on the internet a bit until I came across Kaleb. His website is just amazing and it is filled with great recipes! I used his recipe for canned apples (I will link it down below). I just loved how they turned out!
The only thing about this process is that it was a bit time consuming. Jacob and I peeled a lot of apples just for this recipe! I mean 10 pounds of apples is a lot, but it is totally worth it! One night after work, I was hit with a bunch of energy and I told Jacob that I wanted to take on the project instead of wasting a whole day on it. He was a very good helper and he actually peeled all (I mean every single one!) of the 10 pounds of apples. The rest of the process was quite simple once the apples were sliced and peeled. I do recommend that you do this with someone and not by yourself just because it is a lot of work for one person to do. One person can do it, but it is much more worth it with a friend.
I plan to put these apples away and wait until I am missing apple season to pull them out and eat them over ice cream. I think this is going to be the best way!

Notes for next time: I loved this recipe! I used my leftover apples that didn’t can in a pie and it was delicious!
