100-Percent Whole-Wheat Pancakes (Recipe #59)

After trying the original pancakes, I was so excited to try this recipe for 100% whole-wheat pancakes! I am new to using whole-wheat flour. This was the second recipe I have ever made that called for it. I was very glad with how these pancakes turned out! They had a great texture and taste!

Of course, I had to top these pancakes with a reasonable (or not so reasonable) amount of maple syrup! Sometimes, I wonder if maple syrup runs through my veins. I just love it so much! Anyway, back to the pancakes. I cut up an apple and had that with my pancakes. When I make these next time, I am going to add fruit or chocolate chips to the batter!

I love original pancakes, but I also love pancakes that are filled with fruits or chocolate chips. I think it makes eating the pancakes more fun. Strawberries, blueberries, and bananas are some of the fruits that I love to add. I also like to add apples into pancake batter and with that I put a pinch of cinnamon in the batter to make apple cinnamon pancakes. Vegan chocolate chips are another great option to add into pancakes. There are so many options to add ingredients into pancakes or to even change the batter. Add cocoa powder for chocolate pancakes or lemon juice/zest for lemon pancakes.

Taste: 10/10--Pancakes are just so good!

Level of difficulty: 1/5

Notes for next time: I would love to add fruit!
