Pub-Style Burger Sauce (Recipe #9)
I decided to try making the black bean burgers in the Vegan for Everybody cookbook. The cookbook has a page dedicated to sandwich toppings and sauces, so I figured I would try one of them with the burgers. After all, the black bean burger with pub-style sauce, pickled radishes, and crispy onions is the cover of the cookbook. It felt right to try to recreate this image!
The pub-style burger sauce came out delicious! This sauce called for vegan mayo (I used my homemade mayo), soy sauce, vegan worchestire sauce, brown sugar, fresh chives, garlic, and peper. It had a lot of flavor from the soy sauce and worcestershire sauce. It also had some sweetness from the brown sugar!
Taste: 10/10--Amazing burger sauce--potentially a regular dipping sauce!
Level of difficulty: 1/5
Notes for next time: Pair with homemade vegan mayo and follow the recipe!
