Episode 6: How do I get ideas for my meal plan?

I always start by asking myself questions to get me thinking about what I want to eat! Here is an example of some of the questions that I ask myself. I even included a flow chart at the bottom to keep ideas coming.


  • What foods align with my food goals?

  • What food am I in the mood to eat?

  • What foods are trending?

  • What produce is in season?

  • What produce is on sale?

  • Breakfast ideas

    • How about smoothies?

      • Green smoothies? Berry smoothies?

    • Overnight Oats? Chocolate overnight oats? Peanut butter and jelly overnight oats?

    • Quiche--with eggs or made from tofu?

  • Lunch ideas

    • How about a salad?

      • Maybe a green salad or a grain bowl salad?

    • How about soup?

      • Maybe a tomato soup or vegetable soup?

  • Dinner ideas

    • How about pasta?

      • Maybe a pesto or mushroom bolognese?

    • Tacos? Taco salads? Taco bowls?

    • How about pizza?

    • Asian inspired ideas?

      • Rice noodle bowl

      • Soba noodle salads
