Episode 6: How do I get ideas for my meal plan?
I always start by asking myself questions to get me thinking about what I want to eat! Here is an example of some of the questions that I ask myself. I even included a flow chart at the bottom to keep ideas coming.
What foods align with my food goals?
What food am I in the mood to eat?
What foods are trending?
What produce is in season?
What produce is on sale?
Breakfast ideas
How about smoothies?
Green smoothies? Berry smoothies?
Overnight Oats? Chocolate overnight oats? Peanut butter and jelly overnight oats?
Quiche--with eggs or made from tofu?
Lunch ideas
How about a salad?
Maybe a green salad or a grain bowl salad?
How about soup?
Maybe a tomato soup or vegetable soup?
Dinner ideas
How about pasta?
Maybe a pesto or mushroom bolognese?
Tacos? Taco salads? Taco bowls?
How about pizza?
Asian inspired ideas?
