Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Curd Filling and Lemon Buttercream

I love lemon flavor! I was in the mood for something with lemon flavor, so I thought about making a cake. I thought it would be a bad idea to make a whole layered cake for two people, so I considered making cupcakes. I was looking at cupcake recipes when I came across this one (I will link below) and I knew immediately that I had to make it. Unfortunately, I did not have enough lemons, so I ran to the store and then I was ready to make them!

I made a beautiful lemon cake and homemade lemon curd filling. I topped them with a homemade buttercream. It was worth every second of being in the kitchen. This recipe does a great job breaking down the recipe so that you know what to do while you are baking. This recipe does make 12 cupcakes (which I thought was even more perfect!). I was so impressed with the flavor of each of the components of the cupcake that I will be sure to use this recipe again!



Taste: 10/10

Notes for next time: I loved the combination of the sweet cupcake and sour lemon curd with buttercream frosting.
