Apple Pie (Vegan!)
Apple pie is a classic. Knowing that it is fall and we are surrounded by in season apples, making apple pie is a must. I combined two very simple recipes to make this beautiful pie. I used a vegan pie crust recipe from America's Test Kitchen Vegan for Everybody cookbook and a recipe from Kaleb Wyse food blog!
This pie worked out really well because I made canned apples and I just needed to use some of them right away. I saw the recipe for pie crust and read how easy it was. My decision was made instantly. I will make other posts highlighting the canned apples and highlighting the pie crust. I think the only thing that I have to say about this pie is that it was just delicious. If you don't believe it, then I think you should make it and let me know how it turns out!
Taste: 10/10
Level of difficulty: 2/5--I have never tried to make a lattice look on a pie. It wasn’t too difficult, but it will be much easier next time.
Notes for next time: I loved this pie!
