Tahini Sauce (Recipe #47)
I needed to make tahini sauce for a barley bowl with roasted carrots and snow peas. This recipe for tahini sauce was good! I have not had a lot of experience with tahini, so I am not sure exactly how to judge it. This recipe has intrigued me and I would like to try to see what else I can do with this or what else I can add to this recipe. I have had tahini before, but only on a few occasions--like with falafel. Tahini itself has a very strong taste. Adding the garlic, lemon juice, and water helped to dilute the strong taste without ruining the flavor. I did enjoy this sauce on the barley bowls, but I would like to know what else I could make with it!
