Mixed Berry Smoothie (Recipe #28)
A classic. Whenever I think of a smoothie, I think of a mixed berry smoothie. This was another great smoothie that helped me wake up in the morning!
This recipe in the Vegan for Everybody cookbook calls for an assortment of mixed berries, coconut milk yogurt, water, banana, maple syrup, hemp seed hearts, and salt. It was the perfect combination. I enjoy using yogurt in the smoothies because it helps give the smoothie a nice texture. I will be making this smoothie again!
I have really been enjoying waking up and making a smoothie for breakfast. I like how the recipes made two servings because I would make it for myself and put my husband’s smoothie in the fridge until he woke up. I like how I start the day with a whole day’s worth of fruit. The smoothies gave me enough energy to wake up and keep going throughout the day. They have even kept me full until lunch time!
